Documentation

WooCommerce – getting started

  1. Create an account (no card required) and download the plugin – or start right in WordPress: the plugin can create your account during the connection.
  2. In WordPress go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the ZIP and activate it.
  3. Open WooCommerce → MrUpsell and click Connect to MrUpsell. Confirm your shop on mrupsell.com and you are sent straight back – connected with one click, no keys to copy.
  4. Create your first rule under WooCommerce → MrUpsell → Offers.

Requirements

  • WordPress 6.2+, WooCommerce 8+, PHP 8.1+, HTTPS.
  • For one-click: WooCommerce Stripe Gateway and/or WooCommerce PayPal Payments (≥ 4.1.2, vaulting enabled).

Shopify – getting started

  1. Install MrUpsell from the Shopify App Store and approve the usage charge (the revenue share is billed by Shopify).
  2. Go to Settings → Checkout → Post-purchase page and select MrUpsell.
  3. Create your first rule in the MrUpsell admin inside Shopify.
  4. Your MrUpsell dashboard account is created automatically (sign-in link by email). To show the store in another workspace, use a link code from Dashboard → Shops → Link Shopify store.

Offer rules

A rule has a trigger (products or categories, order total, customer type, payment methods), one to three funnel steps (always / after accept / after decline), a countdown and optional design overrides. Exactly one rule is shown per order – the one with the lowest priority number that matches.

Pricing and billing

There are no plans and no subscription. MrUpsell charges 3 % of the upsell revenue it generates (accepted upsell orders minus refunds), billed monthly in arrears. Every feature is included: unlimited rules, 3-step funnels and unlimited shops. Fees are calculated from the upsell orders your shop reports – every billed order is listed in the dashboard.

WooCommerce: once your fees exceed €5 you are asked to add a card under Dashboard → Billing; offers keep running for 14 days and are paused afterwards until a card is on file. Shopify: the fee is a capped usage charge on your Shopify invoice, and your MrUpsell dashboard account is created automatically when you install the app.

API for developers

The hub API (/api/v1) is used by the plugin and the Shopify app. The contract is documented in the repository under docs/API-CONTRACT.md.
